SPEAKER_00: Around here, we talk fitness, mindset, and the mission of building a stronger you, mentally, physically, and financially.
SPEAKER_00: Because this isn't just about the gym.
SPEAKER_00: It's about life, leadership, and living on your terms.
SPEAKER_00: So gear up, lock in, and let's step into the haven where warriors are made.
SPEAKER_00: Thanks for listening.Anywhere you are in the world, it really truly means a lot.
SPEAKER_00: I don't want to waste too much time.
SPEAKER_00: So let's dive in.
SPEAKER_00: And let me ask you a question.
SPEAKER_00: What if the reason you're not where you want to be has nothing to do with your intelligence, your work ethic, or your opportunities?
SPEAKER_00: And everything to do with this.
SPEAKER_00: You don't have enough usable energy.
SPEAKER_00: Not hype, not motivation, usable energy.
SPEAKER_00: Because in today's world, energy is the new currency.
SPEAKER_00: And the people who have the most of it win.
SPEAKER_00: Not because they're better, but because they can do more, think clearer, and stay consistent longer.
SPEAKER_00: Today, I'm going to show you why energy, not time, is your most valuable resource.
SPEAKER_00: What science actually says about how energy is created and lost, and how your body, brain, and habits are either building your energy wealth or draining it.
SPEAKER_00: And once you hear this, you'll never look at your day the same way again.
SPEAKER_00: Friends, here's something most people have never been taught.
SPEAKER_00: Your life is a reflection of your decisions.
SPEAKER_00: But your decisions are controlled by your energy.
SPEAKER_00: Research from Harvard Medical School shows mental fatigue significantly reduces your ability to make high-quality decisions.
SPEAKER_00: When energy is low, the brain defaults to easier, short-term choices.
SPEAKER_00: Meaning when you're tired, you don't choose what's best.
SPEAKER_00: You choose what's easiest.
SPEAKER_00: This is called cognitive depletion.
SPEAKER_00: And it's why you skip the workout, you order the fast food, you avoid the task, you stay where you are.
SPEAKER_00: Not because you don't care, but because your brain is trying to conserve energy.
SPEAKER_00: One fast and automatic, one slow and effortful.
SPEAKER_00: When energy is low, we rely on the easier system.
SPEAKER_00: That easy system, that's what keeps you stuck.
SPEAKER_00: Unstoppable people don't just have better habits, they have more energy available to make better decisions.
SPEAKER_00: Friends, here's where it gets real.
SPEAKER_00: You're not just low energy, you are leaking it all day in ways you don't even realize.
SPEAKER_00: Let's break it down.
SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about digital overload.
SPEAKER_00: The average person checks their phone ninety-six times per day.
SPEAKER_00: Many would argue that's not harmless.
SPEAKER_00: Every notification triggers a dopamine response.
SPEAKER_00: And over time, that leads to dopamine fatigue.
SPEAKER_00: According to research from the University of California and Irving, it takes an average of twenty three minutes to refocus after a distraction.
SPEAKER_00: Hey, time it.
SPEAKER_00: How long does it take you?
SPEAKER_00: So if you're constantly distracted, your brain is constantly restarting.
SPEAKER_00: Friends, that's exhausting.
SPEAKER_00: The next one, emotional drain.
SPEAKER_00: Your thoughts cost energy.
SPEAKER_00: Overthinking, worry, stress loops.
SPEAKER_00: All of it drains your system.
SPEAKER_00: Research published by the Cleveland Clinic shows chronic worry increases fatigue and reduces cognitive performance.
SPEAKER_00: Emotional stress activates the same pathways as physical exertion.
SPEAKER_00: So, yes, thinking can literally make you tired.
SPEAKER_00: Inflammation from lifestyle.
SPEAKER_00: This is where it gets deeper.
SPEAKER_00: Low energy is often tied to chronic inflammation.
SPEAKER_00: And that's caused by poor nutrition, lack of movement, poor sleep.
SPEAKER_00: According to the Johns Hopkins Medicine, chronic inflammation is linked to fatigue, brain fog, and decreased energy.
SPEAKER_00: So if your lifestyle is inflaming your body, your energy will suffer every time.
SPEAKER_00: See, here's the shift most people never make.
SPEAKER_00: Energy isn't built by doing more, it's built by recovering better.
SPEAKER_00: Let me say that again.
SPEAKER_00: Energy is not created in the push, it's created in the recovery.
SPEAKER_00: This is backed by research from Stanford University.
SPEAKER_00: High performers alternate between stress and recovery.
SPEAKER_00: Without recovery, performance and energy decline rapidly.
SPEAKER_00: And for my friends in the military, my retirees, my veterans, our time in the service.
SPEAKER_00: And the level of stress those bodies endure, NFL, NBA, in the military.
SPEAKER_00: But then think about the schedule, their recovery time.
SPEAKER_00: They're not always playing in a game.
SPEAKER_00: They're not always out practicing.
SPEAKER_00: They have days off.
SPEAKER_00: Take that as a side note.
SPEAKER_00: And yet, most people live like this.
SPEAKER_00: Go, go, go.
SPEAKER_00: No breaks.
SPEAKER_00: No reset.
SPEAKER_00: And then wonder why they're exhausted.
SPEAKER_00: Like I said, even elite athletes understand this.
SPEAKER_00: Recovery is programmed because that's when your body repairs, rebuilds, restores energy systems.
SPEAKER_00: If you never recover, you never refill.
SPEAKER_00: So, friends, let's bring it all together.
SPEAKER_00: Your energy is not just physical, it's identity driven because your brain is constantly asking, what kind of person am I?
SPEAKER_00: And then it behaves accordingly.
SPEAKER_00: Research in behavioral psychology shows people act in alignment with their self-identity more than their goals.
SPEAKER_00: So if your identity is, I'm always tired, I'm just low energy, I can't keep up, your brain will reinforce that.
SPEAKER_00: But when you shift to, I manage my energy, I take care of my body, I show up regardless, everything changes.
SPEAKER_00: Because now your behavior aligns with your identity.
SPEAKER_00: So let's bring it home.
SPEAKER_00: Energy is the new currency because it determines your decisions, focus, consistency, and your results.
SPEAKER_00: And right now, most people are broke in energy.
SPEAKER_00: Not because they're lazy, but because no one taught them how to manage it.
SPEAKER_00: And now you know.
SPEAKER_00: So the question is, what are you going to do with it?
SPEAKER_00: If this episode hit you, share it with someone who needs to hear it.
SPEAKER_00: And more importantly, start paying attention to your energy.
SPEAKER_00: Because once you do, you stop living on autopilot and you start taking control.
SPEAKER_00: Friends, I hope you had just as much fun in this episode as I did.
SPEAKER_00: I hope this was valuable and educational.
SPEAKER_00: Share it, like I said, with someone that may be struggling in this department.
