SPEAKER_00: Hey you! Welcome to the Warriors Haven.
SPEAKER_00: I'm excited to have you on this podcast episode with me.
SPEAKER_00: Let me ask you something.
SPEAKER_00: Do you mind?
SPEAKER_00: Why are you tired?
SPEAKER_00: Why are you tired even after you sleep?
SPEAKER_00: Why do you wake up already drained?
SPEAKER_00: You hit the afternoon crash, and then need caffeine just to function.
SPEAKER_00: Can he answer that?
SPEAKER_00: Because here's the truth: your exhaustion is not random, it's not just life, it's not because you're busy.
SPEAKER_00: Your body is exhausted because something is misfiring in your system.
SPEAKER_00: And today I'm going to break down exactly what that is.
SPEAKER_00: Because once you understand this, you stop blaming yourself and you start fixing the real problem.
SPEAKER_00: See, your body was not built to feel like this.
SPEAKER_00: Human beings are designed for sustained energy, mental clarity, physical output.
SPEAKER_00: But right now, we are living in one of the most exhausted generations ever.
SPEAKER_00: According to the World Health Organization, burnout is now classified as an occupational phenomenon linked directly to chronic stress that hasn't been managed.
SPEAKER_00: And research shows over sixty percent of adults report feeling tired most days.
SPEAKER_00: Nearly one in three people are sleep deprived.
SPEAKER_00: This isn't normal, it's just common, and there's a difference.
SPEAKER_00: Here's where people get it wrong.
SPEAKER_00: They think energy is a feeling.
SPEAKER_00: Energy is a biological system, and that system includes your brain, your nervous system, your cells, which are your mitochondria, your hormones.
SPEAKER_00: As Andrew Herberman explains, your energy levels are directly tied to your nervous system regulation and sleep wake cycles.
SPEAKER_00: Meaning if your system is off, your energy will be off every time.
SPEAKER_00: Let's start with the obvious one: sleep.
SPEAKER_00: But not just how long you sleep, how well your body actually recovers.
SPEAKER_00: Sleep scientist Matthew Walker says sleep is the single most effective thing we can do to reset our brain and body health each day.
SPEAKER_00: And yet, most people scroll before bed, disrupt their circadian rhythm, wake up multiple times per night.
SPEAKER_00: Research shows that even losing one to two hours of sleep can reduce cognitive performance by up to 30%, increase fatigue the next day, spike stress hormones.
SPEAKER_00: So even if you're in bed, you may not actually be recovering.
SPEAKER_00: This is the one nobody talks about.
SPEAKER_00: Your nervous system.
SPEAKER_00: Right now, most people are living in a constant state of fight or flight, deadlines, stress, phones, notifications, pressure.
SPEAKER_00: Your body never shuts off.
SPEAKER_00: And when your nervous system stays activated, you burn through energy faster than you can replenish it.
SPEAKER_00: According to the American Psychological Association, chronic stress is linked to fatigue, brain fog, and low energy.
SPEAKER_00: It also disrupts sleep, digestion, and hormone balance.
SPEAKER_00: So now you're tired, wired, and can't recover.
SPEAKER_00: That's not laziness, that's overload.
SPEAKER_00: Let's talk about something most people overlook: the cellular energy.
SPEAKER_00: Your body doesn't run on motivation, it runs on nutrients, hydration, oxygen.
SPEAKER_00: Inside your body are microchondrias.
SPEAKER_00: These are your energy factories.
SPEAKER_00: And when they don't get what they need, your energy drops fast.
SPEAKER_00: Research shows even two percent dehydration can reduce energy levels and focus.
SPEAKER_00: Low protein intake impacts muscle recovery and energy production.
SPEAKER_00: Blood sugar spikes create crashes, which creates fatigue.
SPEAKER_00: So if you're skipping meals, undereating, living off caffeine, you're not giving your body what it needs to produce energy.
SPEAKER_00: You're just forcing it to survive.
SPEAKER_00: Here's another hidden drain: your brain.
SPEAKER_00: Every single day, you're making hundreds of decisions, constant micro choices, non-stop mental processing, and over time, that creates decision fatigue.
SPEAKER_00: As explained by our former president Barack Obama, he said, you'll see I wear only gray and blue suits.
SPEAKER_00: I'm trying to pare down decisions.
SPEAKER_00: Why?
SPEAKER_00: Because decisions drain energy.
SPEAKER_00: So if your brain is overloaded, your body will feel it.
SPEAKER_00: So let's bring this together.
SPEAKER_00: You're not exhausted because you're weak.
SPEAKER_00: You're exhausted because your sleep is off, your nervous system is overloaded, your body is underfueled, your brain is overworked.
SPEAKER_00: And on top of that, you're relying on motivation to fix it instead of discipline.
SPEAKER_00: Here's the shift: you don't fix exhaustion by trying harder, you fix it by regulating your system, building disciplined habits, and supporting your biology.
SPEAKER_00: Because when your system is supported, your energy stabilizes.
SPEAKER_00: And when your energy stabilizes, everything changes.
SPEAKER_00: Your focus, your performance, your income, your confidence.
SPEAKER_00: So if you've been feeling exhausted, this isn't the end of the story.
SPEAKER_00: It's the beginning of understanding your body.
SPEAKER_00: And once you understand it, you can take your power back.
SPEAKER_00: Friends, if this episode hit you, share it with someone who's been running on empty.
SPEAKER_00: And if you're ready to actually fix your energy, start with the basics.
SPEAKER_00: Because your energy isn't random, it's built.
